REVISIONS
Of course we hope that you will absolutely love your website 1st time. But revisions are part of the process and we understand that. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your new website before it goes live, and good communication and clear feedback is key to achieving that. So once the 1st draft is complete, we will create a Squarespace profile for you and invite you (and any key team members) to view the site and feed back to us any changes/tweaks you’d like us to make. If it’s possible for us to meet in person we will grab a coffee somewhere and talk face to face. And once we have your initial feedback, we’ll get to work on any changes and improvements so we can zero in on the final design. Then for a 2nd time we’ll invite you to feedback for another round of refinement.
All quotes include 2 rounds of revisions as standard. Any further changes or revisions beyond this point will be charged at an additional hourly rate of £50 per/hour. We will let you know if/when we get to this point.
CHANGES TO THE BRIEF
Websites are an evolving thing. We know that new ideas can come at any moment. So if creativity strikes and you want to expand the brief beyond the agreed quote with extra pages, features or services, then get in touch and we can talk over your ideas and amend the quote. Extra work is charged at an additional hourly rate of £50 per/hour and extra pages generally cost £240. Custom CSS functionality can also incur additional costs for the necessary plugins etc. Don’t hesitate to get in touch.
QUOTES
All quotes valid for 6 months from the proposed date. Beyond 6 months quotes will need to be re-negotiated. That doesn’t necessarily mean it will be more expensive.
TIMINGS
Start dates are subject to change but we will always endeavour to keep as close to the estimated start date as possible. In some cases we may even be able to start your project early. Project times are only an approximate guideline. Your website is a collaborative project, between us and yourselves. So expected project delivery times are always subject to quick feedback from yourselves and dependant on the number of revisions needed. If you have an important deadline to aim for, let us know in the initial consultation before the project starts and we will make sure we do all we can to achieve this for you. Extra costs may be charged for ‘Rush’ projects.
DOMAIN CONNECTIONS + TRANSFERS
If you have a previous website, and want to keep the same domain name for your new site. We can connect the domain name for you free of charge. We just need access to edit your current DNS settings. Domain connections can take up to 72hrs but are usually a lot quicker. Complex Domain transfers where you want to move hosting to Squarespace (rather than just link to your current provider) including holding onto email addresses under your domain name may incur additional costs and can take up to 15 days depending on your current hosts. Although most are complete within 48hrs.
WEBSITE MANAGEMENT
We offer ongoing professional support, creative direction and management for your Squarespace website.
Keep events, info and copy up to date.
Create new pages and expand your site with additional features like Email Marketing Templates* and Link-in-bio pages.
Keep it fresh and tidy with new images and design.
£240 per month. Based on 6hrs work per month. We’ll keep track of the time and roll over any unused hours to the following month. Additional hours charged at £40/hr. If you don’t need 6hrs, or £240 is too much. You can ‘Pay As You Go’ for £50/hr. *Squarespace Email Marketing plans come with an extra cost. More info HERE
DEPOSITS
For larger projects we require a 50% deposit upfront before we start the work. With the balance to be paid at the end of the project. Deposits are payable on all projects over the value of £3000.
FINAL PAYMENT + Handover
Once final payment has been received we can start the process of making your website live and accessible to the public. We will transfer ownership of the site over to you and stay on as an admin should you wish us to make any future changes.
Aftercare
We’ll go through your site once it is live to make sure everything is working and displaying correctly. If any links, forms or pages are discovered to be broken within the AfterCare period we will fix them free of charge. Up to 50 website sections can be saved within the Squarespace platform so in the unfortunate event of mistaken page or section deletion or changes, we should be able to restore your website to it’s original state. Studio Remain are not responsible for any unwanted mistakes, deletions or errors made by yourselves, but we will do our best to help you fix it. Please get in touch. The agreed amount of AfterCare is stated in your proposal above.
